How to Adopt
Adoption Process
Bringing home a new pet is an exciting decision, and we’re here to help make the process welcoming and rewarding.
- Adoptions are completed on a first-come, first-served basis, in-person, during regular shelter business hours.
- All adoptable animals are kept up to date on our website and are available to meet at the shelter unless otherwise noted.
- Most animals can be viewed freely throughout the shelter.
- Large dogs are viewable online and require staff assistance for meet-and-greets.
Animals currently in foster care require a scheduled appointment to meet.

What to Expect
During your visit, our Animal Care and Behavior Team will help guide introductions and answer questions to ensure the best possible match. Once you’ve chosen your new companion, our Adoption Team will finalize the adoption process with you.
