He’s good on leash, appears to be housetrained, knows some basic commands, and loves toys and chew items. John Wayne is a smart dog who enjoys learning and is often motivated by treats.
John Wayne does best with clear boundaries and an experienced adopter. He can be touch-sensitive and has shown food resource guarding, so he’ll need a home that understands how to manage those behaviors. He may do well with some dogs after a proper introduction.
One thing to know about John Wayne: he’s athletic and capable of clearing a 6-foot fence, so a secure environment is a must.
